Big Cook with Apps, Meats & Sides (Lots of Pics)

Did a big cook for our 28th annual Fantasy Football draft yesterday. In the past I spent endless hours preparing for the actual draft. Now a days, I spend many hours preparing the food, and a few minutes printing off some draft lists. It's more about spending time with some friends, having a few drinks and enjoying some good grub. Still try to be competitive, but I guess my priorities have changed.

Menu included...

Moink Balls, Jalapeno Poppers and Pork Belly Burnt Ends.
A huge 21+ lb Brisket, Pulled Pork, Mac n Cheese, Baked Beans, Cheesy Corn and Cole Slaw.

Everything turned out great. Brisket was one of my best efforts. Considering everting else I had going on that day, I was happy.

No one went home hungry. Did a 21lb Brisket and 17lbs of Pork Butt, plus the sides and apps, for 17 guys. While big eaters, there was enough for some take home boxes...
 
With all that food did anyone even remember to pick their teams?

Lol…. Yes

28th year so there’s some seasoned vets. With that said, we do take a break for dinner when about 1/2 way through. Usually the booze has a bigger impact on the picks than the food…

When you cooked the MOINKs and the ABT's did the ones nearer the charcoal basket get done first? Or did they cook somewhat evenly?

I've always found that the ones closest to the charcoal and the ones near the edge of the Kettle, furthest from the charcoal, cook the quickest while the ones in the middle take the longest. Guess the close ones are getting direct heat while those around the edge are catching heat from dome. Either way, I usually do a little rotating about 1/2 way through.
 
What a great host to put out a spread like that. For some reason I feel the group is going to double by next year :-D
 
Man, you put on! That brisket looks amazing like ya said. Everything else looks great too. I'd join your league for it!
