Where do you get ribs from?

I've had good luck all summer with Kroger brand baby backs, consistently meaty and tender, and cheap.

We have Mariano's here in the Chicago suburbs and its parent is Kroger. I did some baby backs a few weeks ago but can't recall did they were the Kroger ribs.

Smithfield used to be pretty good stuff years ago. Haven’t bought it it 10+ years and didn’t know they changed to crap. The fact that Walmart carries it should have been the tip-off, but I was there to get some Carl Buddig beef packs to make SOS. Carl Buddig Beef packs are the best for SOS.

With the crap ribs I’ve been getting since Covid started I’m willing to try anything.

I like the Creekstone ribs as well. Still get some shiners but overall better ribs than I've found from a big box store

Any where but Walmart. That goes for all meats though, not just ribs.

I have been having good luck with Kroger brand natural back ribs from Ruler. All others around here have been crappy since spring.
