Prime tri-tip from Costco rubbed with salt, pepper, and garlic. Cooked in the Pit Barrel cooker to 131F the allowed to rest.

I've had tri-tip on the PBC several times and it's about as good as it gets. Very tender and favorable cut of meat.

There's been a lot of tri-tip being cooked here lately, and this is another fine looking one.

They are a lot easier to find outside of California now. Which is a great thing since its a great cut of meat.

That looks awesome! I think I even smelled it when I saw the pic.

I just can't get that cut dialed in. Not sure why. Keep trying. Slainte!

Very nice! Did you sear it at all? Or go with the crust from the PBC?

I just went with what developed while cooking in the PBC.

Beauty of the PB cookers is that you run it high heat and no sear is required. Great looking tri tip OP.

Had nothing but stellar results every time. That's the beauty of the PB cookers whether it's the Jr, regular of the new XL.
