Short ribs on the Red Box semi-live...thanks htrisna!

Haniel (htrisna) gave me some choice beef short ribs at the bash and i have been looking for a reason to cook them. so since smitty made the request and my daughter will be home today i thought the stars had aligned.:becky:

got the Red Box up to 300 and threw the short ribs on at 11:15. seasoned with Uncle Chris' Gourmet Steak Seasoning, course ground pepper and kosher salt. placed them in a half pan and bent the edges of the pan to let the smoke roll thru a little easier. hope they come out half as good as the rack Haniel made.

How many cooks have you done on that? It looks like it's years old

i did 2 breasts, hot dogs, sausage and bb ribs saturday. so this would be my 2nd cook. looks like the Pam i sprayed on the ss cook chamber turned brown immediately.
 
Might have to do with half the tree he has on top of his charcoal :becky:

Looks good so far. That red box seems like a cooking machine for the price.

trying to make sure i get some smoke on the meat and chunks are cheaper than charcoal.:heh:
