Figured since I wasn’t cooking this weekend - I would get another coating of linseed oil on the outside

Put some 3/4 inch firebricks on the bottom of the cooker, set the fire right up on the firebricks, and ran a nice long hot fire to cure that linseed oil







Since I already had it warmed up - thru a stuffed tenderloin and some corn on the cob and did a quick direct heat cook - forgot to snap any photos for that

But both my cookers are now cleaned up and ready for some cooler weather, football and lots of outside cooking

Think we are going to build some removable sides/slides - that I can put in the box to hold the stones in place

Just can't beat firebricks Hojo. I have not been as diligent about applying linseed oil as I should on my Tall Boy build and it shows
