A Birthday Dinner for my wife - Prime Rib! One of her all time favorites.

About a 3 1/2 lb roast, bone in -

Seasoned with Duck Fat, Pepper and Oakridge Santa Maria -

This is gonna be good, I can tell already -

After getting the Golden's de-iced yesterday, I did a clean out this morning and set it up for indirect / reverse sear with the divider plate. The Prime Rib and sweet potatoes (both orange and white) on the indirect side of the grill, temps running 340-350 F -

Almost up to 125 and ready for the reverse sear -

Over to the hot side it goes for a few minutes per side -

Flame pic wasn't as good as expected, but here it is -

After resting a bit I sliced into it. Perfection! -

Plated with the Sweet Potato and Roasted Carrots -

This was most definitely an excellent birthday dinner! Mrs lunchman was quite happy.

As always, thanks for checking in on this post.

Regards,
-lunchman

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Lunchman!

Dom, your plated shot certainly caught my CINCHOUSE's eye as she walked through the room just now.

Looks fantastic!

Happy birthday to the Mrs. She may hang around if you keep cooking like that. Very nice job! My wife is having a birthday the 13th. Could you, maybe....

Thanks all for the kind words and the birthday wishes for Jeanne.

Marty, she says I'm broken in just the way she likes me and I'm a keeper..... However since you're in Florida, at this time of year if you've got room for both of us and 4 grills.....:

First, Let me wish Mrs. Lunchman a Belated Happy Birthday! Yes that cook looks like "Perfection"!!! ; and I am sure that she knows how much she means to you by you putting that much Love into her Birthday Dinner.
