I've been running a BBQ Guru with the Pit Viper for several years. The unit has been great. Mostly. I've had to re-solder the wires to the fan about 3 times now (note, this is an older and WELL USED unit so I'm not complaining). I'm wondering if the newer units have better strain relief or some other way to prevent damage? I'm going to order a spare as this particular repair was... well, my eye's aren't what they used to be, I've just moved, and I haven't got my 3'rd hand/magnifying setup for the soldering iron found yet. Not to mention the old and shaky stuff...

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I had the wrong impression of this thread. I'm a toxicologist. I'm a fan of the animals, pit vipers.

Carry on!
