I am not new to this group. I haven’t been on since around this time last year. My whole family had covid. About 6 or so years ago I thought I was going to build my own smoker, plans changed. I continued to use my cheap charbroil stick burner and MES until this year. I was at Home Depot and found my replacement. The char~griller grand champ XD. This thing is a beast and weighs in at 250#’s. Three employees couldn’t lift the display model. I searched for 2 weeks and couldn’t find one new in box. I talked them into 5% off because it was a display. I added to extra temp gauges. It came with factory installed gasket which started coming off at only 200 degrees but I was going to install my own after I found a good one.

Congrats and hope you and your family get some great enjoyment out of it. Looking forward to some of your future cooks and thoughts on it.

Congrats on the new smoker! Looks like you have a few good cooks under your belt already and more on the way!

Nice looking grub, Ryan!

How do you like the smoker thus far?

Let us know how it runs. ie: fuel consumption, temp swings (if any) and how well it holds temps. Many here are interested in this unit for sure.

Congrats on the new smoker! Looks like it is definitely producing some good food. What type fuel are you burning between charcoal and wood chunks? Glad to hear everyone is doing okay from Covid too.
