MemberGot rid of the matchlight.
Greetings all,
I have a grill in my backyard with two lights built in, which keeps going out for one reason or the other. I am trying to identify the problem, and fix it once for all.
The grill is a CalFlame model P4. Its got two 20W halogen lamps, connected to a 12VAC 3.3A 40VA adapter (Model No: CY1203300E6). Every 1 month one of the lights will go out, due to the heat and melting of the electrical cord (even though heat resistant cord is used). Now within 12 months, twice I have replaced the AC Adapter, which I don’t know why fails. I am suspecting the amperage to be too low. CalFlame cannot help, they say everything is to spec.
Any suggestions what I should do to have a more sustainable setup? Would LEDs work?
Thanks
