Identify this wood?

No idea but I bet Bruce will be along in a bit.

He may recognize the grain.
 
Smell the pieces, post oak has a very distinct good smell to it. If they don't have a smell then they are probably too dry to produce flavored smoke anyway.

Is neither an option? No idea what that block is, but doesn't look like oak or apple. I'd say the one with bark is Maple or Pecan
 
The bottom one is oak. We'd need a side shot to identify the other. Apple can be either rough bark or smooth bark.
 
I agree w/ Maylar.
The sq. block on bottom is Oak. I believe Red Oak.
The top one has bark that looks too rough for Apple. Need a shot of the grain.
