If it's anything like the "Crock Pot" the wife uses, dinner will be missing either...

A) Half of the required seasonings.
B) Water to make sure things don't burn.
C) Taste. She can cook the taste out of anything.

I've done Fake Ribs - CSRs (pork shoulder) in a Crock Pot but not trying to do a BBQ style - it was in a gravy - some recipe I saw online a few years ago. It was Decent.
 
I'm fixin to order a couple Crock Pot cookbooks........

My MIL still does. Taste is too sweet for me, but they are quite edible.
