I am in need of some tips from any one in the ceramic and mason field.

I am designing my own pizza oven that will fit over my camp chef dual burner range. I know they have their own pizza ovens but it wont fit my rangerII oven from them.

here is a pic of the project. no dimms yet. I just need to make a half inch thick stone that can take direct heat from the flames. thanks

soap stone? cool i can go check that out. I know in my welding class they have a small chalk like rock they call soap stone that makes marks on metal so you can see when you weld. is it the same stuff?

thanks

Thanks for all the info guys. Im hoping my idea works out. Im worried about keeping the heat in since there is no lid like a weber grill or gas grill. I know the camp chef italia pizza ovens have no lids, just the domed top and its apparently double lined where as mine is not..
