I told a friend that I would help him cook KCBS in Murphysboro. I have also been wanting to get my feet wet in MBN (Murphysboro is a dual KCBS/MBN contest). I could wimp out and just do ribs, but I figure that I might as well go whole hog (so to speak).
We wouldn't be able to fit my pig pit into his trailer, so I trying to find something to rent or borrow in or near Murphysboro. I'm not picky about the style of cooker, just need something I can jam a hog into.
Also, if there is an MBN team looking to get into KCBS we could work together and compare notes. I'm a top 50 team and Blane is a past champion, so we could get you a good start on KCBS. Any suggestions?
