I was in Wal-Mart about a month ago and came across a bag of Kingsford Long-Burning Charcoal. It claimed it lasted 25% longer, so I thought why not give it a try? I used it with a mixture of lump I had lying around for several different smokes (ribs, chicken, etc.). I didn't do any scientific calculations, but from what I loosely observed I didn't think the extra price was worth it. I came across this article today http://virtualweberbullet.com/kingsford-long-burning-weber-hardwood-charcoal-burn-test-2017.html and wondered if anyone else had some insights.
