Last year iirc green chile harvesting began mid-late July. Time to start aggressively using last year's crop from the freezer. I probably bought less pounds last year but have more pounds available this year.

Chile Relleno Taco or Burrito sounding good

I didn't buy at all last year to deplete by stock. Will buy this year for sure.

I like both green and red New Mexico chiles (used to live there). Reds are a little more complex and take longer to harvest, which is why the growers like to push the greens. But I also like to grow my own. I know, it's not the same. But I have both guajillo and New Mex 64 Heritage in my veggie garden right now. It'll be a while though.
