I took my wife out to dinner tonight as her birthday is coming up soon and my daughter was by the in-laws since there is no school tomorrow.
We went to a new steakhouse in Merrick where we live...

Started out with the shrimp cocktail & tomato & mozzarella... Both were very generous portions and very fresh.
Drinks were some wine & Pellegrino sparkling water.
Main course - I had the Bone-In rib steak and my wife had the petite cut filet mignon... both had a really nice char on the outside but perfectly cooked on the inside.. There were USDA Prime dry aged streaks.
Sides were sauteed asparagus and shoestring fried onions.
Dessert was a warm apple struedel with vanilla ice cream and berries.
Really nice place inside... Huge bar, very attentive service (but not on par with the established steakhouses).
Pricey.. but a great meal.
