Assassin 36” Charcoal Grill charcoal pan location question.

This is my first time using the grill. I’m cooking burgers. Which slot does the charcoal pan go in for standard grilling? Which slot does the ash pan go in? I’m removing the water pan, so is the very bottom rack for storing the water pan when it’s not in use?

Remove the v-pan from the bottom slot and store it elsewhere. Ash pan should be on the bottom with charcoal pan directly above it.

Alternatively, put v-pan above the charcoal tray with slots over the coals and cook your burgers. You will have less flare ups and still have plenty of searing capability. This how I prefer to grill burgers, chicken and other fatty proteins on the Assassin.
