Any of ya'll tried Pecan Shell Pellets?

I used to do some HVAC work for a place called San Saba Pecan. I asked one of the guys there, What do you do with these tons of shells? He said they put them in bin RR cars and sell them to BBQ charcoal companies to be pressed into briquettes. Who knew? Bet the pellets would be good too.

If anyone has ever been to the Salt Lick in Driftwood, Texas, watch them throw wet pecan shells on the fire in that open pit grill. That's where the smoke comes from.

Pecan pellets are awesome. Only other pellets that smell as good are cherry.
