A Weber Vortex?

I don't see that they show a picture of the defuser in use so all of the grate can be used to smoke on, wonder why?

I saw a video a week or two ago on it on YT. The guy that was using it monitored temps all over the kettle and it was pretty even all over. That was putting the ring in the center and using a ring of briquettes around it with the diffuser over. Looked pretty cool. I'm gonna wait til Ace has them in stock to go put my hands on one.......That is, unless one of you fine brethren want to be the guinea pig!! :p

Way different from the Vortex. Sort of a cross between the Vortex and a full length heat diffusor.

Just my intuitive, uninformed take - on a hot cook like wings, there's going to be a lot of grease dripping on the diffusor with all the lovely acrid smoke and taste that goes with it.

Low and slow, I don't see much a problem.

Keeping that diffusor clean? Have fun!

The diffuser is only used for low & slow, no need to keep it on when wings via the Weber vortex.
