Son of a gun Chris! You took the "cooking for her big date" thing to next level. Impressive meal beginning to end! Heck, I probably would have gorged myself just eating your riff on the Caprese salad and the bruschetta crostini.

But like was said before, you created a memory your daughter will never forget, and when you dance with her at her wedding, it will be the first memory to surpass what you did for her last night.

You rocked it cowboy. Absolutely rocked it.

(I cooked for prom last night too, but the kids insisted on pulled pork sammies, cole slaw, and oven roasted potatoes.)
 
Wow! Lucky kids! And they really look like they appreciate it, too. You should be really flattered that she wants Dad to cook for an occasion like that. I'm pretty sure that is about the highest compliment you could possibly receive, for both your cooking and your parenting. And it's not one kids give lightly when they're that age.
