Well I can't let the extreme cold slow me down. It was -15 and -30 with windchill and we got hit with a storm when I was cooking. This is the beauty of a kamado cooker, no worry about the cold outside and the wind doesnt really bother the kamado as well.
Anyways, cooked at 375 direct using one piece of apple wood chunk for smoke. I placed the burgers on the outer edge of the grill for the first 20 min.
4 8oz stuffed patties with old cheddar and mushrooms. Also made 4 6oz patties for the kids. Used my home made burger essence rub for them as well.
I used a large chuck roast and had it double ground fresh!
I like a bit of pink so I use the fresh chuck
nice snow storm
plated with my friends cheddar macaroni balls and egg roll stuffed potato skins
a smoke ring on a burger..... won't get that on a gasser!!!
