How "Shredder" Saved Mothers Day: A shout out to Smoke Ninja

Mothers Day 2017 taking the show on the road to a park pavilion to do the cook. When I'm at home I have everything I need but found myself in a windy situation. I can block the wind at home no problem but I forgot about the wind component traveling. I was cooking the hamburgers and hotdogs...

    Rotisserie Roast Beef Pizza

Yep rotisserie and Sirloin Tip Roast Beef Pizza! Leftover roast beef made for some awesome ZA! Definitely best pies I've made...all cooked on the 007 of course. The sauce was a thin thin layer of alfredo sauce with lots of sauteed onions, green red yellow bell peppers and of course the...

    Cast Iron Source

I'm thinking of having a Cast Iron 1/2 round made for my 007 drum. Any brothers deal with cast iron? This would essentially be a 22" diameter circle, cut in 1/2. I'm thinking 1/2" thick. I want to make a griddle for the drum.

    A Tale of 3 turkeys and a 007 mission!

We do our Thanksgiving at one of the local parks each year so I had to take the show on the road. The plan was to do two 16 pound birds on the spit but would they fit? :noidea: and one (20lbs) spatchcocked up above in the dome lid of the 007. The two rotisserie birds I put on opposite for...

Smokin some chili because it's getting CHILLY!

In full disclosure a small amount of elbow noodles might go in later so it becomes goulash...it's definitely a Texas chili tasting dish though. I used ground beef but am spinning some rope sausages below to add into it also. More to come...

How to tell it's time to clean out your firebox ash.

When the bottom of the basket leaves indents in the ash it's a safe bet it's time! ...oh the basket is 5" off the bottom. Not too bad for having been at least a couple months or better since it was emptied!

They called it a chuck roast, I called it a big farking steak!

:heh: Used the jaccard, and dry brined then it went on the 007 in grill mode taking it to medium. Gotta say it wasn't too darn bad...definitely not a rib eye but pretty darn good and it was large enough to be two large steaks. The juices were definitely flowing! The baked taters were done...

Making Beef Pot Roast Stew for Mom :)

Mom gave me a frozen roast labeled "beef pot roast" and asked me to cook it up for her and she said a stew sounded good. First I spun it on the rotisserie then put the pot in the 007 with the lid off for a while so the whole stew could get some good smoke. I'll post finish later. Here we...

Cheap arse sirloin tip roast on the roti

Wish me luck on this one...It's one of these pieced together ones and usually they've been tough. I'm thinking worst case I'll put it in the crock pot after for pulled if that's the case. I should have used the jaccard but forgot to. Will post pics as it goes.

The last few days I've seen wrapped ribs, nekkid ribs, hanging ribs and redemption ribs....dagummit I didn't see any self basting ribs so here you go. :biggrin1: I really hope to see more people experience rotisserie ribs like this because it really takes ribs to the next level IMO. You can...

Failure to launch. A 007 pizza cook

Second go at pizza. I still haven't bought a peel and am launching pies off a cutting board. My 1st pizza, i couldn't transfer, ended up on a pizza pan instead of the stone. This time i floured the board (my peel) heavily. Like very heavily. I heard of corn meal, or sesame seed or semolina...

    Squashed my Rotisserie Spaghetti Dinner

It was a little risky but all worked out...You know me gotta have something different! :biggrin1: Definitely a gamble because I didn't know how the spaghetti squash would react to the heat and maybe fall off the spits. Thanks for checking it out! :thumb: Put two spaghetti squash and...

Cheddar Cheese injected Pork Loin: Finished and ALL GOOD!!!

This is probably crazy but oh well, worth a try I suppose. I used milk and heated up a big chunk of sharp cheddar and injected all through the loin, then let it cool in the fridge. It'll probably seep out the holes but some may stay inside. It's on the rotisserie now. Fingers crossed. lol

In progress... Meijer had the shoulder cut bone in CSR's and I had to say YES to that! Potato skins seemed like a good compliment so here we go. All is rolling over the fire except the skins will go on the grate later.

    Secret new cooker REVEALED!!! "007"

There's a new type and style of cooker that I've been using for quite a while now that I'm going to share with the brethren community and BBQ community as a whole. This is a concept that I dreamed up while I was getting into rotisserie cooking. I'm not a fabricator by any means so I wanted a...
