Behind the scenes of the grand opening of the newest BBQ Brethren BBQ joint

Congratulations man, that is awesome! We're heading to Warrenton for my niece's wedding over Labor Day weekend, will definitely try to stop by. I don't think it's too far from there.

I AGREE W/ SMITTY - WE DEMAND PICS AND AN UPDATE!
Because, you know, you have alot of free time.
(foot tap) I'm waiting!

That place is huge! And thanks for the kudos, glad to help out. I love my shirt.

Looks like the opening was a great event.

That is fantastic brother man... super happy for you and wish you all the success in the world. Looks like you are off to a great start! :thumb:

Thanks everyone. It has been a crazy month. We are pretty much slammed on Fridays and Saturdays, I'm selling out 90% of the time. Just starting to get a handle on quantities so moving forward at least I have some data to help project sales. My biggest hurdle has been ribs. The first two weekends people said they loved them, I HATED them. Coming from a competition background I knew I had to adjust my methods for the masses and it didn't work. So this weekend I completely overhauled my ribs (rubs, holding methods, etc) and I am getting it straightened out. They sold out within a few hours both nights. We have been doing some fun features, such as rabbit sausage sliders and a sandwich that killed it this weekend called "the tower", pulled pork- brisket- cheese sauce (from our Mac), slaw, pickles, and bacon. It was a huge hit and we are contemplating putting it on the menu. I am exhausted, I pretty much do not sleep from Thursday to Saturday night. But the public's responce has been great and it has been worth it (so far)!

I haven't been on the brethren much lately because I have been too friggin busy. I am sad that I missed this thread until today. Great job so far!!!!!!

My gf and I will make a road trip up to Woodstock sometime soon! Would love to come out before you open and see how your process. I'll even be free labor if you want!

Your welcome any time Ren, just let me know. There are a few weekends coming up where my time at the brewery will be split with some vending, but I'm there 95% of the time. Your welcome to stay at the house as well, it's stumbling distance from the brewery.
