I'm new to the forum and the BGE. I've done a couple beer can chickens on a gas grill, but just curious what temp and how long you would recommend for a 4.5 lb bird. Cooking over indirect heat.
Thanks |

Welcome to the Brethren. I like to smoke my beer can chickens at 350 degrees. This temperature will give a good crisp skin and color and is hot enough to build some steam with the beer can. You'd probably smoke it for about 1 to 1 1/4 hours but as always use your temp probe.
Good luck !
