Can someone explain to me the difference in these 2 units. They look to have the same sized cook chamber.

Difference in Lang 36 stretch and 60?

The Lang 36 has a smaller cooking cylinder than the Lang 60 models at 36". The Lang 36 stretch has the same cylinder as the Lang 36, but is longer than the original version.

Ok. I appreciate that. There is a circumference difference. I knew both had a 60" long chamber from what I was seeing. I figured that something had to be different

Also the firebox is much larger on the 60 (20" x 20") than the 36 (17" x 17"). Doesn't sound like much difference, but think about most splits being 18-20" and NOT fitting well into a 17" square firebox!
