I am not new to this group. I haven’t been on since around this time last year. My whole family had covid. About 6 or so years ago I thought I was going to build my own smoker, plans changed. I continued to use my cheap charbroil stick burner and MES until this year. I was at Home Depot and found my replacement. The char~griller grand champ XD. This thing is a beast and weighs in at 250#’s. Three employees couldn’t lift the display model. I searched for 2 weeks and couldn’t find one new in box. I talked them into 5% off because it was a display. I added to extra temp gauges. It came with factory installed gasket which started coming off at only 200 degrees but I was going to install my own after I found a good one.

Congrats and I hope you and family are well!

Keep us updated on your cooker and it’s performance, several folks on here have been curious about this pit! Thanks.

Congrats and hope you and your family get some great enjoyment out of it. Looking forward to some of your future cooks and thoughts on it.

Thanks for your kind words. Two weeks ago I received my first shot and had almost the same symptoms of covid. Lasted 3 days along shoulder and back pain.

Here is a few pics of my first cook.

And some more cooks. Meatloaf, pork tenderloin, Easter kielbasa and ham. I should have researched how to smoke potatoes before I tried because the had to get finished in the microwave.

Congrats on the new smoker and some fine looking grub Ryan.

Cool and congrats. Hopefully the smoker works well for a long long time.

I started smoking (a couple decades ago) with a CG smokin pro. It was a real wimp compared to what they're selling now...

Congratulations on the new smoker. It's going to be a great summer for you.

Congrats on the new smoker! Looks like you have a few good cooks under your belt already and more on the way!

Congratulations! Food looks great, too!

Congratulations on the new smoker, and those cooks look great!! Keep Posting!!

Nice looking grub, Ryan!

How do you like the smoker thus far?

Let us know how it runs. ie: fuel consumption, temp swings (if any) and how well it holds temps. Many here are interested in this unit for sure.

Congrats on the new smoker! Looks like it is definitely producing some good food. What type fuel are you burning between charcoal and wood chunks? Glad to hear everyone is doing okay from Covid too.

Beautiful smoker and beautiful looking food. Congratulations!
