First ever stick burner cook y'all! Watching and reading you farkers sure made this easy! I got this bad boy FREE from Brother Harbormaster. Clark, I can't thank you enough.....I've NEVER had so much fun Q'ing before!

This is an O.G. old school Chuckwagon pit. 3/16" welded all around, and about 10 sqft of grate space. What. A. BLAST! I really can't believe how easy this was. Up to temp and running thin blue within 30 minutes from when I fired the chimney. I got some nice cherry and hickory at the last minute from a pal, and also used some apple, white oak, and maple that I already had. She ran within 50 degrees from fire box end to the vertical cabinet on the left the whole time. Wow. I think I'm in love!

Can't tell you how glad I am that you're enjoying the pit and that it's working for you. It was a crime to have that pit in my garage unused, and you have demonstrated it found a good home.
Your cook looks pretty dang fine, and I would have eaten whatever came off of it.
Well done Chris!

Something tells me that we are going to get even more enjoyment out of your cooking threads than we already do Chris. I didn't think that was possible but now I know it is.

Not sure which I like best, the cooker or the food. Great post Chris, looks like you nailed it!!
