I ordered a sampler pack of Oakridge rubs and they are supposed to be here today! I can't wait to try them. I hear my brethren bragging about them here all the time. What should I cook and use first?

Used their brisket rub on a point for the first time on Saturday. The brethren are right. Good stuff!
 
I got both sample packs for Christmas and have been putting them on everything lately. Just did a brisket with Black Ops and it was great.
 
I love'em all and have used them with great results on every meat.


But, the workhorse for me is Santa maria. If it's not the main rub it works fantastic as a base to layer spicier rubs or flavors on top.

Just a few days ago I grilled some mahi filets with santa maria and death dust. MAGIC!!!
 
Thanks Brethren. Going to the market tomorrow. Don't know what I will come home with but rub is going on something!!!
 
You'll love them all, don't be stingy with them, they are all flavor, and not all salt like some of the others...
