I remember the first time I had the official Crawfish Monica
I was at Jazzfest in NOLA and walking the food midway and being amazed by the non traditional (but local to Narlins grub) and there was the Cajun Kettle with Crawfish Monica (its their recipe). I noticed that no other stand had this thing so I went to investigate. Heaven in a bowl! :clap:
Every year for the next 8 years in a row I did the hunt for the Cajun Kettle as there is only one stand at Jazzfest that has it.
Stopped going when the crowds got too big, the acts not what Jazzfest means to me, the overall costs skyrocketed. I bought a 27ft boat instead and listen to Jazzfest on WWOZ via the internet
made it a few times and every time it brings me back to that first bowl I had..
