Smoked a pork shoulder the other day. Captured the drippings. Bride is making Green Chile stew. She's adding the drippings. There really is no recipe as she wings it by taste. At times she likes it thick as ice cream other times thin as Campbell's tomato soup. I was in charge of finding fresh corn tortillas. Guess Im thru for the day.

Chopped green chile,Mexican oregano, chef Meritos Asada , Jalapeno dusting salt, Durango diner green chile sauce, chicken stock, natural stock are some of the things I noticed.

It's great by the bowl, over burgers, stacked enchiladas- lots of uses

Taste test. Home run. Nice heat, doesn't melt the enamel off the teeth, nice sweat below the eye and ears comes on delayed--the smoked pork and roasted green chile shine. This is why she kicks me from the kitchen.

Wowza!!! What a team y'all make!! If I was your neighbor, I'd be dropping by all the time about supper time to "borrow a cup of sugar"! :wink:
