Any info on a nsf approved smoker in a backwoods style? I'm in mn and they're very strict on the certification. Wanting to stay with a charcoal/wood combo smoker but everything looks like either pellet or propane. This would be going on a trailer porch

I have an old hickory with the burner/comp switch. I use propane to start the fire then flip it off and run 100% wood. Can also look at the smoker you want and see if you can get stainless steel grates, usually the HD will allow, but talk to them before buying. NSF certified or compliant will usually pass.

Ive talked to my local inspector. He was pretty confident that nothing would get passed without being certified. I'll look into the options you guys have listed. Thanks

Just remember you need enough water capacity for the water cookers. That is one drawback being mobile. Maybe reach out to Josh of Clarin Family Bbq, based in South St Paul, they have a Mixon on their porch trailer.
