last of the Easter ham.

We don’t eat ham very often at mi casa and often have leftovers to use up.

Last week I posted about a pancake battered, deep fried Monte Cristo sandwich.

For Sunday lunch I made a Monte Cristo the way I usually do - - dip the ham, turkey, swiss cheese sandwich into an egg and milk wash and shallow fry in foamy butter! I like this method better than the other. It’s a more savory bite and one of my favorite ways to use ham.

Sunday I griddled the last of the ham, cut into thick slices and brushed with a sesame, teriyaki, garlic sauce. Served with fresh from the farmer’s market veggies; asparagus, carrots, red and yellow bell peppers, also cooked on the Blackstone griddle and plated over rice.

I may need to make ham more often, my family enjoyed the leftovers more than than ham itself, and so did I. Thanks!
