are you doing peoples choice? I have given up on it. Been screwed too many times working my ass off to serve the best possible to the public only for locals with half ass BBQ to win.

The idea behind people's choice is to bring people in .. which is why the sponsors put on the contests. Don't bust your ass, just cook some ribs with old rub and let them serve it to the public. Happy sponsors mean more contests.

Fine by me. We've all heard all sides of the peoples choice thing. I have a love/hate relationship with peoples choice. I understand it from the organizer's side and understand the frustration from the cooks side.
