I want to make burgers, and fries but I don't feel like getting the deep fryer out or cooking fries in the oven. I thought about pulling the griddle out so I can cook bacon cheese burgers, and fries. Is there a secret to getting the fries cooked properly on a griddle?

Maybe use a lid or stainless bowl to trap in the heat. A bit of oil could help crisp things up.

This is all speculation on my behalf though

Use a skillet, let it heat up and add enough oil to coat the bottom. Start the fries first, and toss from time to time. You can also do them directly on the griddle, you will need more than a little oil, think of them as ultra-fat hash browns.
