I did not get to make a V-Day dinner for my girls because I had to coach hockey practice. So tonight, I tried to make up for it. I tried to include everyone's favorite foods....
My wife: Filet Mignon
Me: Crab ( I am from MD, what did you expect)
My 7yo daughter: Bell pepper ( no idea why, but she loves all colors of bells)
And of course, as a proud family of Irish heritage, we had to have potatoes!

So I fired up two kettles with a vortex, and off I went.

Kettle #1, Potatoes went on early, then homemade crab cakes on a maple plank.

Kettle #2, Filets were seared over high heat, then cooked to each ones favorite temp (hence the therms). Then finally, a pepper medley, in cast iron, over the coals (forgot to take photos)

The final result was a glorious meal of everyone's favorite things!
