Wow, My Masonic Brothers are finding out first hand why I love being involved with the KCBS and the BBQ community!!! Besides the fact I LOVE BBQ!
Less than 16 days to go... Teams spots are filling fast as are Judges spots .... And I was asked by a team member.... so I'll post it here so far our Judges list is 100% CBJ with only 6 primary spots left....

This is really coming together well! Thank you to CheeseheadBBQ and Mustanger for their support on the Forum. We have less than 7 judges spots open and about 10 team spots open. More details were confirmed yesterday morning and the day is getting closer!! We have 4 spots pending receipt of entry fee....that leaves only 4 spots left! This is incredible. You Brethren have made this first annual event a success. We hope that everything will be beyond your expectations and we can see you next year. A good problem to have....teams on a waiting list in case anyone drops out of the competition!!! We are truly blessed and want to thank all our teams and you BBQ Brethren that made this event happen. Without your support and encouragement we would really be struggling right now. We do want to remind all the teams and potential visitors that we will have concessions available during the day Saturday as well as a charity-donation breakfast Saturday morning starting at 8:00 a.m..

We are rounding the corner and getting VERY close to the day!! We had our last planning meeting this Saturday and everything looks in order. The Brethren of Temperance Lodge #438 are very excited to get this thing kicked off and meet all the teams that made it possible. We are so grateful to the BCBS and our coordinators. We hope everyone enjoys themselves and starts planning for next years competition.

We have finally received the "official" paper proclaiming our competition as "an Official State Barbeque championship in the state of Missouri." As you know, this entitles the grand champion to receive an invitation to the American Royal Barbeque Cook Off. THUS IS HUGE....please start planning on being a part the the "Bigger and Better Dam BBQ Competition" in 2014.

Judges: We (Troy) have added a new registration page for you all this year! Hopefully, you'll find it easy to use and register. I think Troy has done an outstanding job of setting it up. I know it will make my job allot easier as it automatically updates my Judges data base and I can one click add your names to our live list on the website! (a personal favorite of mine) Some have already noticed the website is updated and started signing up THAT AWESOME!

Team: Again this year you can register online and pay with paypal or if you prefer snail mail you can do that too! Hope many of you return!

We had some awesome teams this year! The teams made it really tough on our Judges with so many great entries!We hope to duplicate the experience for everyone in our "2nd Annual Contest in 2014"
