A brand new contest in Mid Missouri is looking for teams to compete for its first year! The Smokin' in the woods BBQ contest is located at the Hanson Hills campground; just off of Interstate 70 between Columbia and Kingdom City Missouri.
This campground is a great place for kids with a swimming pool, playground area and a fishing pond. Your entry fee includes camping from Friday until Sunday at 11am so don't leave right away.. stay after the award ceremony, hang out, and enjoy the campground!
Since this is a campground.. the owners don't make any money if the campground is empty. Right now the campground is booked to only our BBQ contest and the campers that have paid to have their campers out there full time. As of June 30th, 2016 the campground will open back up to the public for the weekend of July 22nd - 23rd so get your applications in early please!! If this is a problem for any of you that wish to participate and have a special circumstance that makes this timeline difficult.. please contact me!
