A Weber kettle is typically my go to chicken cooker, but the MAK sure does put out some tasty wings. I have found that I need to cook at a bit of a higher temperature on the newer model than my older, older was typically 275°, I now cook at 300° to 325° on the newer one.

90% of the time, my wings are seasoned with 50/50. For those who are not familiar, that is equal parts Santa Maria and Habanero Death Dust.

These were topped with a couple of Buffalo Wild Wings sauces, Medium Buffalo and Garlic Parmesan.

Looks great!

Try 350° next time and see what ya think!

I tried hotter before, but I like for them to render a bit more at a lower temp, they typically roll from 90 minutes with 1 flip.

That said, no wrong answer as long as one is happy with the results.

I couldn't agree more. I've always thought kettle/vortex wings are hard/impossible to beat - and they are. But my MAK wings are darn close, if not as good, and stupid easy.

Those are some fine looking wings. Kettle is also my chicken cooker but next time around I'm going to fire up the Yoder for wangs.
