Lomey
is one Smokin' Farker
Found some round steak on sale this week with no fat throughout so picked up 3 lbs to make some jerky. Used the cajun recipe I saved from someone on here a while back and added a little brown sugar to the recipe (I'm sorry I can't remember who because I'd like to give them credit). Thanks, it is a keeper! Cut it against the grain in 1/8-1/4 inch strips.
First time using an offset to make muscle jerky and it turned out great! I usually use my Masterbuiilt or the gas grill with a smoke box. Dialed it in at 170° and it held steady for 5 hours.
If anyone is in the market for an offset smoker give Dub Siegel at KCsmokerco a call. This smoker never ceases to amaze me.
