The new venue for St. Charles (the almost totally vacant Charlestowne Mall) is a lot nicer than the original, in that it's much less crowded. Other than the longish walk to turn in, I liked it a lot.
We'll miss this year as we'll be heading up to Escanaba for the following weekends UP Hog Wild in Harris, MI.
We will be at Westmont as well. Come say hi if you have time
We stayed Saturday night to help out with the Amateur contest at St. Charles last year, and it looked like a lot of fun for the cooks. Are they having the kids comp this year again also? They turned in some amazingly good food last year, especially considering they all cooked on those little disposable grills!

Good Luck and thanks for signing up with us. The team in Westmont also puts on a great contest and have been incredible mentors to us. I also recommend looking at the Morton Throwdown later in July.
