How to Get Into Competition BBQ

I'm a KCBS & SCA judge, looking to get into KCBS competition. However, I need one or more partners. None of my family or friends are interested in competition BBQ, and I don't think I would do very well by myself as a beginning competitor. So what I'd like to do is join up with someone or a team in need of a cook. I do briskets and butts well, and I'm getting better at ribs. I'm only average at competition-style chicken.

I realize it's probably too late in the season to make it happen now, and I'd really like some more practice time on my new Gateway Drum Smokers anyway. But if anyone you know is looking to form a Backyard team and needs another live body, please PM me.
