Howdy folks. Glad to be here. I'm a semi-retired veterinarian. New to this forum but definitely not new to Q. Been a devout offset man for over 40 years but recently I have come over to the dark side when my wife bought me a Traeger for my birthday. Century 885.

I have to admit that I've finally reached the point where I just don't have the patience to tend a fire all night. Putting a brisket or butt on around 10PM and going to bed is really nice.

Anyway I have one son (36), a stepdaughter (28), stepson-in-law (28), and a stepson (25). Also 4 grandkids ages 6 months to 13 years.

As my profile states and my avatar shows I'm a Texas Aggie. Love all things Aggie. In fact I proposed to my wife in the Diamond Club at Bluebell Park before an Aggie baseball game and we got married at our tailgate after an Aggie football game. Yeah we are Aggies. 8 in my immediate family (including sibling and niece).

I've since gotten rid of my offset and along with my garden variety gas grill, my Traeger, and my recently purchased Blackstone I've got a pretty nice backyard kitchen.

That's about all I can think of right now. Looking forward to being a part of this family.

Welcome Hoop from an OU fan - see ya the SEC soon!

I have other gear but do t of my cooking on a pellet grill and a flattop too. Pretty deadly combo.

Post us a cook when you get a chance.

Not a cook (I'll get some uploaded later) but a little pit porn. Our tailgate trailer.

Welocme aboard Hoop!

Check my signature about our Texas fall get-together coming up in a few months. There's a guy there, Jay, aka Ag76 that i bet you'd like.

We do a Spring bash north of Dallas (Lake Ray Roberts) and a Fall one at Belton Lake although Covid messed up a few we hope to be back on track this year.

I've already seen the thread. Gonna try my best to make it. Hopefully it'll work out. A lot depends on the date. I make nearly all Aggie games both here and away so it depends if we happen to have a bye week.
