These are sealed drums that most likely are not lined. In my experience, lined-sealed drums are a rarity. You should listen to the advice of the above posters relating to using drums that carried petroleum products. Once burned out, they are just as safe, if not safer than a lined drum where the lining wasn't properly removed.


Drill intake holes before burning the drum out. This ensures a super hot fire that will destroy anything that was inside the drum. I use a wide metal chisel and a hammer to cut the sealed top off.. takes 5 minutes or less.
