Heading to Texas hill country mid-November for a wedding at Driftwood. Staying at Buda for 3 nights and then going to Fredericksburg for 2 nights. Hope to make it to New Braunfels/Gruene Hall while out there. Hope to visit Opa's in Fredericksburg for some sausage. Any suggestions/recommendations for other stops? Wineries? Breweries? Food? Bars? Music? May try to hit WWII museum in Fredericksburg.
Thanks.

Luchenbach is close enough to go visit when you are in Fredericksburg.
Gruene Hall is pretty cool.

I was extremely disappointed in Salt Lick bbq.
If you go through Blanco, Old 300 BBQ was pretty good several years ago.

Was out for the Texas Bash a couple weeks back. Took a drive out to hill country one day. Stopped at Cave Without A Name in Boerne, was pretty cool. Then hit Black Board Bar B Q up the road a bit. Was pretty tasty que.

For the Buda area check out Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ

Fredericksburg checkout Eaker BBQ.

Luling and Lockhart for BBQ and Shiner for a brewery tour and tasting.

Yep. Agree. Been there done that. Staying in Buda and heading west from there to Fredericksburg. Probably visit some wineries in the hill country area. Will go to Salt Lick cause that is where they are having the rehearsal dinner.

Salt Lick is OK BBQ, but it's a great atmosphere. I had fun the couple of times I was there. Just an FYI, they are normally BYOB, so you may want to come prepared if the rehearsal isn't providing any.

Salt Lick does have beer and wine but the beer is bottled and wine by the glass. Be prepared for a lot of smoke. You'll need a change of clothes. Sounds like you have a full plate of traveling around. Not far from Frederiksberg and Luckenbach is the Alamo Springs Cafe. Out of the way nice little place. Music anywhere can be spotty as most places only have it maybe thurs-sun. Luckenbach is a fun tourist trap with a marginal food truck. But if it's a weekend the music will be good. Google the places you want to go beforehand.
Deep Eddy Distillery for vodka ... many flavors , Treaty Oak Distillery, Desert Door Soto, for beer Beerburg Brewing, Fitzhugh Brewing, Jester King, 12 Fox, Vista Brewing,
for some wine Graveyard vinyards ... a Paso Robles winery that has this outlet in Dripping Springs ... good wines ... Bell Springs Winery ... aslo has beer, Fall Creek Vinyards actross from the Salt Lick..descent rose

Those other places you mentioned are a must see.

We like Vaudeville in Fredericksburg, Johnson City ... Bryans on 290 and a few other bars ...

How long of a trip do you have planned ?

Staying at Buda 3 nights; Nov. 10 - 12. Rehearsal dinner on Thursday, wedding on Friday evening at Stonehouse in Driftwood. Driving to Fredericksburg on Sunday and staying 2 nights there. Heading home on Tuesday. Planning to hit Gruene Hall and New Braunfels on Saturday. Any other tips/suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.

If you haven't as yet ..... If you drive by a Buc-ees stop in and take a look .... just for the heck of it.

Yep. Have been to Buc-ees several times. There is one in north Georgia just off I-75 and they are about to open one here in north Alabama just off I-65.

Id you get to Wimberly, TX eat at the Wimberly Cafe. Had a great breakfast of eggs, hash browns, and chicken fried steak. In south Austin look up Cherry Creek Catfish.
Salt Lick BBQ was OK, but I won't go back. Neat place. BBQ was just OK; had pork ribs, brisket, and sausage. Best thing was the sausage. Served family style with slaw, beans, and potato salad.
