I use the Steven Raichlen gloves. I really like the extra long cuffs for protecting my forearms. I picked up a pair of chemical resistant gloves for shredding and handling meat from Menards (kinda like Home Depot or Lowe's). I like the texture on the outside, makes it easier to pull.
 
These dudes were $12 at Home Despot and are rated as heat resistant. Probably not good for cutting and tearing up meat like the silicon ones but for grabbing the grate and plate setter, hard to beat for the price.
