My 2cents - The first class you take will make the biggest difference. Continue taking classes - yes they are expensive and worth every penny. The big 'ah-ha' moments will diminish, but with each class, you broaden the arsenal tricks and contingencies up your sleeve.

If you can swing it, take classes that require some travel. You can see what's working elsewhere and try it at home. Plus your network of friends grows exponentially.
