Today me and my son entered into an Eggfest competition in the heart of Amish country in Mt. Eaton, Ohio.

This was after cooking in an Open-Fire Chuckwagon cook-off and our first steak cook-off last night (at the same venue, this was the second half of a double)

We decided to go with Butter Chicken skewers served over fresh baked garlic Naan, that had been hit with a spiced yogurt and cream spread.

We were assigned a XL BGE to cook with and we had a great time!
We also happened to pull off a 3rd place win and qualified for the championship Egg cook-off in September in Berlin.

For today’s Eggfest, we made Butter Chicken on skewers, served over fresh baked garlic Naan.

This is one of three plate turned into the judges. This won us third place and an entry into the championship in September (this was a qualifier for that event)

I was wondering how you did on the chuck wagon cook. That looks like a great time! I know the area somewhat and had no idea they held something like that there.

Congratulations on the third place finish!

Congrats on a great weekend and a commendable finish. I'm sure it's like when my daughter and I cook, a call would be nice but just making memories is the important part.

I drank that green koolaide for several years.Even went to Tucker Georgia for the Flagship BGE festival at BGE Headquarters.Had a lot of fun,met a lot of cool people.Spent WAY too much time on the OLD BGE forum with Spring Chicken and the like. But,like Stike on the Old forum always said,,,relax,it is just another grill.Your offerings look tastee.I did not realize that BGE “ Eggfests” were back after the last year or so.Good luck.

Looks like a great weekend!

Congratulations on the 3rd Place Finish! That butter chicken and naan look outstanding.

Public samples on offer look fantastic, as well.

Looking forward to reading how the championship goes this fall!

All are outstanding presentations,,,,
The sliders, steak, chicken and the naan , and the jambalaya would have put me in the easy chair with a smile on my face !!!!
