It did. More like 11lbs after trimming and now that we sliced it, tastes great and good smoke ring but I should have left if on for another hour. I was afraid to because it wasn't real thick on the flat end (actually I should have said ti was really thin on the flat end).
Overall for my first brisket on a stick smoker in years it came out great. Way better than my electric smoker that I switched to from a stick burner.....I'm so glad I went back to the sticks.
