Came out better than I thought.
The meat held together perfectly ,these discs are a great piece of Kit.
next time I will cook at a lower heat for at least 5 hours, It was a bit chewy and could have gone longer.
Its a very cheap way to feed a lot of people down here.

While eating the first cut the meat keeps turning and finishing off, ready for the next serving.

Now what to do with the leftovers?
maybe in a slow cooker with a lot of browned onion and Gravy?

Thanks for looking

Looks fantastic Titch! Tell us about it the discs...

Thanks mate.
Gyros discs are very common here.
Holds meat in place and because they have no prongs just use the main skewer to hold the meat you can carve as its spinning.

all differing sizes and thicknesses.
You may find them near a Greek Community over there? if you have one.
I believe we have the second biggest Greek Community in the World

Yeah buddy! You have made my wheels turn again. I may have to do something similar.

I got curious and Googled it. Responses were from Australia, with one from the U.K. Even the hit on Ebay said they didn't ship to the US. Looks like there is an open market for them in the US

That looks so good, I tried to think outside the box and I found this, for anyone else who lives in the US. I'm wondering if the disks would work?
