Anyone Seen a Smoker Like This?

This is a friend of a friend’s smoker here in MA. Just saw it in person for the first time yesterday and trying to see if anyone knows any history on it. Supposedly built 25-30 years ago in FL. Says that he heard it wasn’t a one-off and someone was making a bunch of them back then.

It’s propane fired with a small firebox that he can slip in a few soaked pieces of wood. It has 3 shelves that spin like a rotisserie.

Anyone seen one of these before and know anything about who built them?
